Jamuna Bank Limited has arranged a "Customer Night" at Bangladesh China Friendship Conference Centre on the eve of the Bank's 8th Anniversary. Mr. Md.Tazul Islam, Chairman of the Board of Directors was present as Chief Guest on the occasion. Sirajul Islam Varosha, Sakwat, Abu Khair Mohammad, Mohammad Nurul Alam, Sponsor Directors Engr. Md. Atiqur Rahman, Golam Dastagir Gazi, Bir Protik, and Managing Director Mohammed Lakiotullah, Additional Managing Director Mr. Md. Motior Rahman, Deputy Managing Director Mr. M.A.Salam & Mr. Md. On the said occation 44 Premier customers were awarded Business Excellence Award­2007 (Gold Medal).

Recently the Meeting about Exchange of Views of the Executives/Officers with the newly elected Chairman and Vice Chairman of the Board of Directors of Jamuna Bank Limited was held at IDEB, Kakrail Dhaka. The meeting was inaugerated by Mr.Md Tazul Islam Chairman of the Board of Directors of the Bank. In his speech as Chief Guest, Mr.Md.Tazul Islam, Chairman of the Board of Directors of the Bank thanks his satisfaction for overall achievement of targets stressing on maintenance of high asset quality and proper customer selection. He also assured all out support from the Board for smooth operation & development of the Bank.

Mr. Md. Alauddin Al-Azad joined at JBL in the rank of Deputy Managing Director from 21 May, 2008.

BOD of JBL in its 101st (Emergency) meeting held on April 27. 2008 unanimously elected  Mr. Md. Tazul Islam as the Chairman and Mr. Kanutosh Mojumder as the Vice Chairman of the bank for next 1(one) year.

Mr. M. A. Salam, Senior Executive Vice President promoted to the rank of Deputy Managing Director with effect from April 01, 2008.

All the Executives and Officers had donated 1(One) day's Basic Pay for relief distribution for mitigating the sufferings of Flood Affected Peoples of the Country.
